DURHAM COUNTY: Although Durham police consider Christina Nicole Timberlake's disappearance an active missing persons case, they told NC WANTED that she has contacted her family to say she's OK.
Until Timberlake alerts police that she is not missing, they will keep the investigation going.
Timberlake, 27, was last seen leaving the Red Roof Inn on Guess Road Feb. 7 in a 2002 white Honda Accord.
She is a black female, 5 foot 6 inches tall, weighing about 180 pounds. The license plate number on her car is WWS 2205. The car also has a dent in the rear driver's side door.
Durham police told NC WANTED that Timberlake has a young son and was planning to get married Friday, Feb. 8. They have received conflicting information about whether she was last seen Wednesday or Thursday.
Her grandmother, and later her boyfriend, reported her missing on Sunday.
